Holistic Management International/ Australia Ltd News

At the recent AGM the decision was taken to wind up the company Holistic Management International/ Australia Ltd and the last business day determined to be 30 September 2010.

The business of Holistic Management International / Australia Ltd has been successful and enjoyable over the past years.  The decision to wind up, taken at the annual review of the business, was based on an analysis of the efficiencies and personal benefits of an alternative business structure to the directors and officers of the company.

In essence the administrative and regulatory conditions and costs of maintaining a public company was no longer meeting the respective holisticgoals of the individual directors.  The winding up of the company will free up the directors of HMIA to pursue their own activities and business interests.  Judi, Phillip and Fiona remain committed to accelerating awareness and promoting the benefits of holistic management while continuing their work on existing programs and developing new opportunities.

We firmly believe that holistic management offers the most effective process to advance the regeneration of land and reinvigorate rural communities.

We will continue to support Holistic Management International, Judi Earl having accepted a position on the HMI Board of Directors as an international Director effective November 2010.

The work initiated to develop learning sites will continue.  Working with successful practitioners to demonstrate the on ground benefits of holistic management provides a wonderful learning opportunity.  These people and their land will have important roles in future educational programs coordinated by Judi.

We will continue to offer ongoing support to HM practitioners in our respective regions and provide quality educational programs.  In future, Holistic Management training offered by Judi will be provided through her consultancy Agricultural Information & Monitoring Services (AIMS) and will be advertised on the AIMS website www.aimsag.com.au as well as the HMI website and other local avenues.  Programs offered are FarmReady approved and participants have the option of achieving a qualification for completing the Course in Holistic Management under the AQTF.

From 30 September 2010 visitors to this web address will be directed to the Australian page on the Holistic Management International website where updates on local news and information can be located.

We thank you for your past support and look forward to continuing our association, supporting existing practitioners and management clubs and providing ongoing training.

Judi, Phillip and Fiona
